About Us

Mother Theresa Craft & Training Institute

Mother Theresa Craft & Training Institute, a school of art, design and technology was founded in 1997 by Mariya Leema with the objective of providing art and design education, social service, health awareness among women and children at villages of Sagara. Here we provide hands-on experience that seeks to equip students with a thorough understanding of materials, technologies, skills and concepts along with exposure to the diversity of Indian culture. Training and outreach programs are conducted at the grass-root level with artisans, self-help groups and non-governmental organizations. And our institute has been involved in reviving the craft of embroidery, kundan, zardozi, painting ceramic, soft toys making and several such interventions geared towards the development of crafts.
